The Brief
The client at The Riverside Kitchen located within The Savoy, now formally known as The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay was considering replacing their bespoke Charvet cook suite due to their changing menu.
The Charvet cook suite was relatively new, but had been incorrectly specified by The Savoy’s kitchen design consultant. The suite was only specified with planchas which did not offer the kitchen the flexibility required.
Instead of replacing a perfectly good cook suite, we proposed modifications to the existing suite to provide more space for pan work, a key feature of the new menu.

The Outcome
Our team of skilful engineers modified the existing cook suite, cutting out the four original planchas and replacing them with two solid tops, moving the induction hobs to the front of the suite, and adding in two new chargrills. All work was done on-site, saving the client a significant amount of money compared to buying and installing an entirely new range.
This is a perfect example of extending the product life-cycle of the existing, new Charvet cook suite, and it could not have been done without the team’s expertise. The client was thrilled with the results, as it saved them significant potential capital investment and a perfectly good cook suite being wasted.
