A Major redevelopment of the existing Riverside Restaurant. We worked alongside the architects and the client to create a grand feel to the new areas; the fish bar is front of house so the aesthetics were a key part of the design. We created a focal fish bar with live cooking and bread/cheese area in the centre of the restaurant.
All the equipment is bespoke, we designed and fabricated each individual stainless steel item in a mirror polished finish to tie in with the art deco interior design of the restaurant.
The fish bar consists of two, bespoke, 6 drawer fridges built into a unique under-bar. Above counter are two refrigerated, glass cabinets to hang fish, to allow customers a clear view; four oyster ice wells add further drama.
We also designed and made a bread warming oven to bring the smell of cooking bread into the restaurant; designed to look like a pizza oven, long and narrow, with a stone interior and warm lighting to create the feel of a conventional wood fuelled oven, and a unique cheese counter fridge, with a curved glass and wood façade, to show off wooden cheese drawers within a refrigerated cabinet.
The project was completed within a short time scale and to budget. TAG worked in close partnership with the other site contractors to help the project run efficiently.
